Remember when rediscovering the reassurance of school meant buying a few notebooks, a new box of crayons, and new shoes? Should you wore a uniform to school, you most likely got among those too; if not, you still have one or two new outfits. That has been it.
Well, times have changed. The provision list now contains items which was previously provided by the schools – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child requires a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders along with a calculator. If you have two children and you also shop the sales, you can still end up spending greater than $100.00 in supplies alone. Which doesn’t even count the new clothes your youngster “has to have” or perhaps the fees which are necessary for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me going on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your kids needs for school. Can it ever end?
