Remember when finding comfort school meant investing in a few notebooks, a whole new box of crayons, and new shoes? If you wore a uniform to college, you probably got among those too; or even, you’ve got 1 or 2 new outfits. That has been it.
Well, times have changed. The production list now contains goods that was once supplied by the schools – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child wants a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders plus a calculator. When you have two children so you shop the sales, you could still end up paying out greater than $100.00 in supplies alone. Understanding that doesn’t even count the newest clothes your child “has to have” or perhaps the fees which can be essential for art projects, lab costs, etc.

1) Recycle – Confirm everything you curently have at home. You probably have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. available your home. Put these together within a pencil box and will help you save a couple of dollars.
2) Re-use – Kids feel that last year’s backpack needs to go, however a quick trip through the washer may provide it new life.
3) Reduce – Does your kids have a very notebook from a year ago that has three pages of written material in it and 77 blank pages left? Did you find this notebook inside the trash can – or worse – the trash? Now could be a fun time to debate waste and keeping it down through getting the most use possible out of every item.
