Get a head start right out of the gate with a Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification. This certification is the foundation certification for Enterprise Wi-Fi in the CWNP family and a jumpstart to earning your network security, design, analysis, and expert certifications.
Do you have an understanding of the fundamentals of wireless technology? Are you familiar with WLAN and how it is managed every day? Do you have the ability to install, configure and troubleshoot and maintain wireless networks within small business or Enterprise deployments?
The demand for wireless is growing, and so does the need to have certified network administrators.
What it takes to become a CWNA:
The CWNA certification, which is a foundational wireless LAN certification, is required for the CWNP program. To earn a CWNA certification, you must take the CWNA exam at a Pearson Vue Testing Center and pass with a 70% or higher. Instructors must pass with a 80% or higher. No matter how you prepare for the CWNA exam. You should begin with the objectives. These cover all the skills that will be tested.
The CWNA certification is valid for three (3) years. Pass one of the professional certification exams (CWSP/CWDP/CWAP) to recertify your CWNA. By doing so, the CWNA will be renewed for another three (3) years. You can also retake the current CWNA exam.
While the Certified Wireless Specialist (CWS) and Certified Wireless Technician (CWT) certifications are not a required prerequisite to the CWNA certification, it is highly recommended. It will give you a solid foundation for the CWNA.
