A Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), certification will give you a head start. This certification is the foundation certification for Enterprise Wi-Fi in the CWNP family and a jumpstart to earning your network security, design, analysis, and expert certifications.
Are you familiar with the basics of wireless technology? Are you familiar with WLAN and how it is managed every day? Are you able to set up, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain wireless networks in small businesses or Enterprises?
As the demand for wireless continues to grow, so does the need for certified network administrators.
How to become a Certified Workplace Network Administrator:
The CWNA certification is a foundational level wireless LAN certification for the CWNP Program. You must pass the CWNA exam at a Pearson Vue Testing Center to earn a CWNA certificate. Instructors must pass with a 80% or higher. No matter how you prepare for the CWNA exam. You should begin with the objectives. These cover all the skills that will be tested.
The CWNA certification is valid for three (3) years. Pass one of the professional certification exams (CWSP/CWDP/CWAP) to recertify your CWNA. By doing so, the CWNA will be renewed for another three (3) years. Or retake the current version of the CWNA exam.
While the Certified Wireless Specialist (CWS) and Certified Wireless Technician (CWT) certifications are not a required prerequisite to the CWNA certification, it is highly recommended. It will give you a solid foundation for the CWNA.
