I’m not sure initially when i first heard of acim free audiobook. I do know that I purchased it in March 2009 since i wrote the date in the cover.
After i tried to read it, however, I just cannot be aware of it. The style of writing was perplexing. The information it contained baffled me. I needed never before encountered such teachings. I wasn’t quite ready for this and quickly set it up aside.
Eventually, a dear friend suggested that people form a study group to function on the Course. In my opinion he only agreed to be as bewildered because of it as I was. But his suggestion was wise. He knew we might do together what we should had not been able to do alone.
So a number of us met for the first time in July 2009. At that meeting, we tried to read a couple of pages with the Text — which forms the Course combined with the Workbook for college students as well as the Manual for Teachers. What we read in this first meeting made little sense to all of us. It left us frustrated.
Somehow — and i also don’t remember how — we made a decision to turn instead to the Workbook for college students, having its 365 daily lessons. We’ve got to happen to be divinely inspired within this decision, because it helped us and contains continued to function ever since.
Now, over 2 yrs later, we are well in to the Workbook for any second time. The daily lessons as well as the written text now make sense. Now i enjoy doing the teachings each morning once you’ve got my first mug of coffee. I am looking forward to utilizing the teachings included in the lessons into meditation where I could discuss them with my spirit guides. I am looking forward to the weekly study get togethers where we review and discuss the teachings that people worked on individually throughout the week.
ACIM has totally changed my thought of the globe, and i also have become focused on it. The study get togethers normally leave me in a state of bliss, because ACIM is assisting me remember all the tasks I knew when still in spirit but forgot once i drew the veil of forgetfulness over me and incarnated into this physical world.
Here’s an example of precisely how the Course has changed my thought of the globe: I did previously think that this physical world is real which was created by God, nature, and other forces external in my experience. Now i realize that I’ve been tricked by my five senses into believing the world is real. Now i realize that it was I who come up with kind of world I see around me and all of my experiences inside. Some tips i see “out there” is actually only a projection of what is occurring during my own mind. This physical world is an illusion, a hologram where I could play and discover. None of it is real — I caused it to be all up!
Thus, I’m in charge of the sort of world I see around me and all my experiences inside. That’s not me a sufferer of life’s circumstances after all. Other people are not abusing me. God just isn’t punishing me. I see what I see, I experience what I experience, and i also feel what I feel since i settle upon so during my own mind.
There is absolutely no point in going “out there” to alter the product in question on the globe. You can not control, manipulate, or repair it. This could be like traversing to a movie theatre and stomping around tear down the screen because you can’t stand the movie you’re watching.
The only way to change the product in question on the screen is to discover the projector in the back of a play and change the video. The best way to change the product in question “out there” on the globe is usually to change what’s “in here” absolutely need mind. Alter your beliefs. Stop judging and condemning. Commence to practice unconditional love and acceptance. When you do this, the globe you see “out there” are going to change. So long as will likely be stored in unhappiness, pain, and suffering.
ACIM is very easy and unequivocal concerning this: You can remain asleep within this physical illusion, dreaming that it must be real, as long as you want. Or you can awaken spiritually and find out that you have been asleep in Heaven all along. Jesus Himself asserted Heaven will be here, everywhere, but we haven’t managed to find it. Even as we awaken from your imagine this physical illusion, we are capable of experience Heaven right here in the world.
