A fresh 2016 Xmas rock-POP tune has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket site .

The songs title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a special up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then looking forward to the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the recording process and used local session musicians to record the music durring a 6 week period. The songs includes 8 separate tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the USA due to Mark needed the most effective outcome and quality. The track ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main purpose of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day website as we can and then ideally in-turn they will be kind enough to give to 1 or all of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the song.
One other definitive goal is to get enough downloads of the music to fund and setup a Phuket live music club with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that’ll present free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the local colleges and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to promote his song Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was residing in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and . On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous methods to simply help including a Phuket Villa and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
