A fresh 2016 Xmas rock song has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .
The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks genre is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then awaiting the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used session players to record the song durring a 6 week period. The songs consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA due to Mark wanted the very best result and quality. The track ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day website as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they’ll be kind enough to help to one or all of the Phuket charities, and to also download the song.
One other primary goal is to get enough downloads of the music to help fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, that will provide free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the area’s schools and orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to market his song Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there is numerous methods to help including a Phuket island Resort and budget flights to Phuket booking system. Every penny helps.
