Selecting a drawing pencil sounds like it needs to be simple. You just visit your pencil jar and grab one, right? The difficult part is that there are many to pick from. Truth be told, it isn’t as easy as choosing to work with a number two pencil. 2nd pencils are fine for math class, however, not necessarily for drawing. Each Hard pencil is designated from the letter H. It’s preceded by way of a number from 0 or more including 0H, 1H, 2H, etc. The greater the number, the harder the pencil is. For this reason a regular 2nd pencil is HB. It’s a mix between hard a gentle.
Soft pencils are designated through the letter B. In addition, it has varying examples of softness starting from 0B and up. The higher the number, the softer the pencil is. For examples, a 7B pencil has smoother graphite when compared to a 2B.
Soft pencils would be best used for shading. Start with minimal soft pencil and come to the softer pencil for the reason that softer the pencil, the darker the road. The reason being when you press on a soft pencil, more graphite breaks away than a hard pencil.
The best way to draw is with different color pencil set. You can start having an H pencil, outlining your sketch and getting the basic principles down. Press lightly in order that the lines don’t show through. This is just to get down the correct dimensions.
Then start working on the soft pencils to start shading. Progress with all the soft pencils prefer a darker line or smoother shading. Work with a blending stump maybe finger to blend the shading together and earn it look smoother.
